As a board member with The PHP Foundation, I work to ensure the long-term sustainability of PHP. I have also represented Open Source interests at the European Union, championing the values of openness and collaboration.

Since 2000, I lead the development of PHPUnit, the industry-standard testing framework for PHP. Through that work, I helped professionalize the broader PHP ecosystem.
